The third umpire is called in and bat and gloves are both close to the ball. UltraEdge shows that there is a murmur as the ball goes past the bat but it starts before the ball even reaches the bat. However, when it does reach the bat, there is no gap between bat and ball and it is conclusive enough to overturn the onfield call. NOT OUT!

This is the one that goes straight on with the arm, Karunaratne gets a stride out and then shoulders arms but the ball slides on and crashes into the off stump and the former Lankan skipper is left baffled. Australia rejoice and Sri Lanka are 6/2 inside the first four overs.

Starc goes full and straight as Fernando looks to get across a bit and flick it away but falls over a bit to the off side and is beaten past the inside edge as the ball crashes into the pads. The third umpire is called in and there are a few spikes on UltraEdge but none of them are of the willow and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds. That's hitting middle of middle, a waste of a review from Fernando and Sri Lanka who are now 6/1.

Goes full and darts it on the leg pole, Fernando brings out the reverse sweep again and drags it down to deep point for one.

FOUR! Attempts it again and nails it! A bit straighter on the stumps, Oshada Fernando reverse sweeps it away well in front of square on the off side and the ball races away to the vacant boundary.

Oh, that is very risky from Oshada Fernando! Sees the cover-point fielder moving to the leg side and pre-meditates the reverse sweep. This is bowled flat and down leg as Fernando misses and almost falls over.

A bit too straight and on the pads, tickled away down to short fine leg for another dot.

Pushed through a bit quicker on middle and this one slides straight on, Fernando gets a bit squared up but manages to keep it out.

Begins from around the stumps and tosses it up on the pads, Fernando works it 'round the corner for no run.

Pitches this one right up on off at 141 clicks, Karunaratne solidly blocks it off the front foot and just a single off that first over from Starc.

Good length in the channel and gently nipping away, Karunaratne shoulders arms at it.

BEAUTY! Perfect length on off, not completely full and bowled at 138 clicks, getting the ball to zip away from the left-hander. Dimuth Karunaratne leans on to block but is well beaten.

Oshada Fernando and Sri Lanka are off the mark in the second innings. Fullish length and outside off, Fernando leans across and just pushes it away square through the off side for a single.
