Coal mine auction opens up forest stretches

Freight body to end contract with Chinese firm

The Railway Ministry’s announcement came three days after 20 Indian soldiers were killed as hundreds of troops from India and China fought with iron rods and clubs studded with nails in Ladakh.

The decision to terminate the Beijing National Railway Research & Design Institute of Signal & Communication’s contract was taken in April due to the firm’s “slow progress” in the work, officials said.(PTI)

Railways to terminate contract with Beijing firm, World Bank’s nod sought

To be clear, the decision to terminate the contract was taken in April due to “slow progress by the firm,” officials aware of the development said.

960 Covid isolation coaches across 5 states, Delhi gets major share

Out of the total 960 coaches, 503 Covid Care coaches have been deployed in Delhi alone, 20 in Andhra Pradesh, 60 in Telangana, 372 in Uttar Pradesh and 5 in Madhya Pradesh.

60 lakh migrants ferried at cost of 600 per person on Shramik Specials: Railways

The Indian railways have recovered only 15% of the total cost of operating the Shramik Special trains while the rest was borne by the national carrier, Railway Board chairman VK Yadav said at a virtual press conference.

198 migrant workers died in road accidents since Mar 25: Report

At least 1,461 road crashes took place over the course of the nationwide lockdown in which at least 750 people were killed, including the 198 migrant workers headed home.

198 migrant workers killed in road accidents during lockdown: Report

There were at least 1,461 accidents over the course of the nationwide lockdown - from March 25 to May 31 - in which at least 750 people were killed, including 198 migrant workers. There were 1,390 who got injured, according to the data.

Try to keep middle seats empty: DGCA to airlines

Govt allows private jets, chartered flights to operate on domestic routes

The civil aviation ministry issued guidelines for non-schedule operator permit (NSOP), stating that passengers should report at the airport, heliport or helipad at least 45 minutes before the departure time.

Post marathon meeting, Puri gets states on board to resume domestic flights
