India strikes Pak hard, downs Fighter Jet in Pathankot | Shebaz Sharif | Jammu

Indian defence forces responded decisively to a major escalation on May 8, 2025, after Pakistan launched a coordinated aerial assault targeting Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur, and other key locations with missiles and drones. Indian forces have also reportedly shot down a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet, new agency ANI said quoting sources. India’s advanced air defence systems, including the S-400, intercepted and destroyed all eight incoming Pakistani missiles over Jammu, and shot down multiple drones, preventing any significant damage to civilian or military infrastructure.
