Born on October 17, 1973 in Satoj village of Punjab's Sangrur district, Bhagwant Mann contested the assembly election from Dhuri constituency in Sangrur. He was declared as the AAP's chief ministerial candidate by the party's convener Arvind Kejriwal ahead of elections on January 18 this year.
