Ex-CEC S.Y. Quraishi on how religious polarisation is paying dividends in polls

Former Chief Election Commissioner of India S.Y. Quraishi rips believes that the religious polarisation ahead of polls in India are paying dividends to a particular political party and that it has been normalised since last Gujarat Assembly elections. In this interview with Hindustan Times, Quraishi also touches upon the topic of so-called Muslim population explosion in India and polygamy, saying it is a myth and is used to get votes from majority community.
