In a moving display of a father's love, an autorickshaw driver in Bengaluru adorned his humble vehicle with a balloon to mark his daughter's birthday. A city resident travelling in the three-wheeler captured the heartwarming gesture that has resonated with other social media users.

“It was his daughter’s birthday,” marketing professional Sumedha Uppal wrote on X (formerly Twitter), sharing a short clip that shows the autorickshaw driver from behind, with a solo pink balloon attached to the roof of the moving vehicle and swaying in the wind.

The six-second clip has over 2.47 lakh views and over 11,000 ‘likes’ on X.

The simple yet meaningful gesture by a father who toils daily in the city's traffic served as a moment to pause and cherish the little things in life.

Among those who dropped sweet comments was the official X account of Uber India.

“Papa ka pyaar hi toh hum sabka engine hai (Father's love serves as an engine for all of us) Happy birthday to beti ji,” the cab aggregator said.

“Rikshaw drivers are the ultimate heroes of India. Debate me, I dare you,” X user Darpan said.

“Human emotions are the same, it does not matter whether rich or poor,” another user, Dhirendra, said.

Recently, an exchange between another Bengaluru resident and an auto driver resonated with the internet when the driver discussed the prospect of his school-going daughter appearing for competitive exams such as NEET and Karnataka's Common Entrance Test for admissions for engineering and medical courses. The driver's daughter is in Class 11.

In yet another charming Bengaluru auto driver moment, a man riding the three-wheeler was seen taking a dog for a ride in his vehicle. The dog, chained to the handle for safety, stood on the auto driver's lap as it took in the sights and sounds of traffic around it.
