Mumbai’s minimum temperature drops below 20°C, AQI in moderate zone

The Santacruz weather observatory, representative of the suburbs and Mumbai, recorded the minimum temperature at 19.7 degrees Celsius, which was 2 degrees Celsius below normal.

IMD issues red alert for Mumbai, other places today

The Konkan region, including Mumbai, received deficient rainfall in June, the weather bureau has forecast a normal monsoon in July for the region.

Palghar, Thane, Mumbai city its suburbs, and Raigad recorded deficient rainfall between June 1 and July 1, whereas Ratangiri recorded normal rainfall.(PTI)

Intense rain spell over south Mumbai: 157 mm rain in 3 hours

India Meteorological Department (IMD) authorities classify light rain between 2.5 and 7.5 mm; moderate rain (7.6-35.5 mm); heavy rain (35.6-64.4 mm); and extremely heavy rain (64.5 - 124.4 mm).

The weather bureau has issued an orange alert -- heavy to very heavy rain -- for Friday and Saturday, but the intensity is likely to lessen from Sunday.(PTI)

Mumbai witnesses its first intense showers, 4 days after onset of monsoon

The suburbs recorded 19.4 millimetres (mm) of rainfall between 8.30am and 2.30pm, south Mumbai (8.4 mm) and Thane (40 mm).

Southwest monsoon has advanced further, rains to continue in at least 4 states: IMD

According to news agency ANI, the weather bureau has said the conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of east Madhya Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

The weather bureau has issued a warning of scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Konkan and Goa, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Maharashtra, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Odisha.(PTI)

Mumbai’s minimum temperature falls below 20 degrees Celsius, a first this season

The Santacruz weather observatory, representative of Mumbai and its suburbs, recorded 19.5 degrees Celsius, almost a degree above normal. Colaba, the representative of south Mumbai, recorded 22 degrees Celsius, 1 degree above normal.

Heavy rain continues to lash Mumbai; expect downpour today too, says IMD
