Vizag gas leak: 60-yr-old woman arrested for posting objectionable content against LG Polymers

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) unit of Guntur Police served a notice on Poonthota Ranganayaki under Section 41-A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

Keep poisonous chemicals away from workplaces, GB Nagar district admin warns factories

District magistrate Suhas LY said altogether seven companies have been asked to immediately provide their detailed on-site emergency plan along with the names and numbers of contact persons, to the deputy magistrate and deputy commissioner of police (DCP) of their respective areas.

TDP slams YSRC on Vizag gas leak, accuses govt of being lenient with LG Polymers

The TDP has accused the Jagan Mohan Reddy government of adopting a soft approach towards the company, with the YSRC digging out past records to prove that it was the previous TDP government led by N Chandrababu Naidu which had allocated extra land to the company to expand its capacity.

LG Polymers says vapour leak caused accident at Vizag plant

The unit of South Korean chemical giant LG Chem said it is committed to working closely with the concerned authorities to investigate the cause of the incident, prevent recurrence in future and secure the foundation for care and treatment.

The report states that neither did the company take any precautionary measures, nor did it use the emergency alarm immediately after the incident to alert people.
