Nasal vaccine at govt centres in Delhi from Feb 15

Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and science and technology minister Jitendra Singh launched Bharat Biotech’s nasal Covid vaccine, iNCOVACC, on the occasion of Republic Day on Thursday

In a statement issued on Thursday, the manufacturers said that for large procurement by the Centre and state governments, iNCOVACC will be priced at <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>325 per dose, and for private vaccination centres, it will be priced at <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>800 per dose. Why India’s booster roll-out needs a boost

The proportion of those not turning up for the booster dose has also been increasing with each passing day. Compared to current 86.1 million or 75% of those eligible, those who missed their third shot numbered 48.3 million or 68% of those eligible on April 10, the first day all adults became eligible for it.

On January 9, the seven-day average of vaccination sites was at an all-time high: 102,670.

Delhi records 632 fresh Covid-19 cases, no death; positivity rate at 4.42%

Delhi had recorded 501 fresh Covid-19 cases on Monday, 16 less than the previous day. Officials said the last time the positivity rate was above seven per cent in the city on January 29 (7.4 per cent) and on January 28 (8.6 per cent).
