The government gave directives in this regard vide a GO, pointing out that officers use a higher chair or a one decorated with a towel at official meetings at state headquarters and in districts while public representatives are made to sit on common chairs

Paddy procurement at MSP: UP falls short of target, claims farmers prefer open market

Govt acquired only 52.29 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, which is not just 75% of the 70 lakh MT target and one of the lowest in recent years, but also less than the state’s annual rice requirement under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), shows data
