NRI entrepreneur converts old Scotland Yard HQ into luxury UK hotel

The group had acquired the property, in the heart of London’s Whitehall area near Trafalgar Square and Downing Street, in 2015 for ₹1,025 crores and further invested ₹512 crores towards its makeover into a luxury hotel.

Kashmir protests in London end peacefully amid heavy security

The people, protesting against India’s move in Kashmir, and subjected to time and route restrictions, gathered outside Downing Street, passed through Whitehall and ended up in nearby Trafalgar Square. The protest was prohibited from reaching anywhere near the Indian high commission in Aldwych.

Indian billionaire turns Scotland Yard building into luxury hotel

Transformed at a reported cost of 75 million pounds, the hotel located close to Trafalgar Square has over 150 rooms, some converted from what were previously cells where criminals were incarcerated.

Indian billionnaire Yusufalli Kader acquired the Great Scotland Yard building for 110 million pounds in 2015.
