Karnataka govt prohibits staff from smoking, consuming tobacco inside offices

Disciplinary action shall be taken against any government employee found smoking or consuming any tobacco products (gutka, paan masala, etc.) in the office.

The circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) of Karnataka govt to this effect has warned of disciplinary action against those violating.(Pexels)

Hookah bars permanently banned in Punjab as President Ram Nath Kovind okays Bill

The President has given assent to the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) (Punjab Amendment) Bill, 2018 recently, a Home ministry official said.

Gautam Budh Nagar administration to issue guidelines for operations of hookah bars

Owners of hookah bars had sought relief from the Allahabad high court, after the Expressway police served a notice on January 13, asking hookah bar owners to stop operations in the area.
