Indo-Nepal bus service begins from Siliguri after two years of Covid-19
The Siliguri-Kakkarvitta-Kathmandu bus will run on a regular basis from Tenzing Norgay bus terminus at 2 pm, will cover 615km and reach Kathmandu the next morning at around 7 am. The ticket is priced at Rs1500 per person.

On this day in 1953, Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay scaled Mt Everest
Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hilary both were part of British army officer John Hunt’s expedition and reached the summit, the highest point on Earth, at 11:30am on May 29.
