Delhi Police bust gangs selling fake IPL tickets, 9 held

Police arrested two men and detained three minors for selling fake IPL tickets, and three men for selling original tickets at a higher price outside a stadium in Delhi. Police seized 104 tickets, including 80 fake ones, and a colour printer. One gang allegedly hopped from city to city printing fake tickets, while the other sold original tickets.

Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat: Cleanliness audit of Ludhiana railway station begins

A two-day cleanliness audit began at the Ludhiana railway station on Monday. Constituted under the Quality Council of India, the audit team, comprising Ankit Tiwary and Firoze Khan, will conduct a survey and compile an audit report on the basis of various parameters that will determine the rank of the Ludhiana railway station in 2019.

The audit team will take feedback of 200 passengers on September 3 that will further determine the fate of the Ludhiana railway station. It will get a particular green score on the basis of the audit’s outcome.(Gurpreet Singh)

Society resident held for paying men to hit, take away strays in Gurugram

According to police officials, the main accused, 32-year-old Tarun Kumar, had allegedly paid four men to “get rid of the dogs” as he thought they had become a nuisance for the society. He had allegedly paid them ₹9,000 to carry out the job, the police said.
