Delhi HC allows mosque in Nizamuddin markaz to reopen for Shab-e-Baraat

The Markaz building in Nizamuddin has remained sealed since March 2020, over alleged violations of Covid-19 protocol during the Tablighi Jamaat conference held there that month.

This year, the Delhi Waqf Board again moved an application seeking the reopening of the entire masjid complex for Shab-e-Baraat and the holy month of Ramzan. (HT Archive)

Delhi HC allows reopening of 4 floors of Nizamuddin Markaz, no cap on attendees

This is the same place where the Tablighi Jamaat congregation was held in March 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic and had remained shut since then over alleged violation of norms. 

On April 15, 2021, the court had allowed 50 people to offer namaz five times a day at the Nizamuddin Markaz during Ramzan.(HT archive)
