U.P. govt focuses on prisoners’ skill training to help them after jail term

The Uttar Pradesh government is providing skill training to prisoners in various trades under the Prime Minister's skill development program to help them reintegrate into society. In the last year, 8,160 prisoners received training in about 60 trades, including computer software, carpentry, and beautician work. Training is being imparted in various district jails across the state.

Skill training given to youth living near Melghat Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra

To overcome these challenges and reduce their dependency on forests, the Melghat Tiger Conservation Foundation has set up three computer centres in Harisal, Chikhaldara and Vastapur villages of Amravati district.
