Don’t indulge in cheap theatrics: Sukhbir to CM

Sukhbir asked the CM and the AAP to stop engaging in “political theatrics” over the sensitive river water issue and instead come clean to Punjabis about the recent release of 4,000 cusecs of water to Haryana and the subsequent agreement to release an additional 8,500 cusecs.

He cited a written admission by Bhagwant Mann that the Punjab government had been releasing 4,000 cusecs of water for the past month, and had agreed to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s April 23 request for another 8,000 cusecs. (HT File)

2nd death anniversary: Skill India centre to come up in memory of Parkash Singh Badal

Addressing a gathering on an event to mark the second death anniversary of the late chief minister at his native place in Muktsar’s Badal village, Sukhbir said: “It was during the Badal saab tenure when Punjab became the first state in India to start a skill development push. Later, it was adopted by the Union government to empower youth with the skills to meet the diverse demands of different industries.”
