Former Mumbai NCB director Sameer Wankhede will not be arrested in a money laundering case until February 20, according to the ED. The case is based on an FIR alleging Wankhede and others extorted money from actor Shah Rukh Khan. Wankhede is seeking to quash the case, claiming it is motivated by malice. The hearing has been postponed to February 20. Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son, was arrested in the Cordelia cruise ship drugs bust case but later cleared by the NCB.

Money laundering case against Sameer Wankhede transferred to Delhi: ED to HC
The Enforcement Directorate has transferred the probe into a money laundering case involving former NCB director Sameer Wankhede to its Delhi office. Wankhede had sought to maintain the status quo and have the case against him quashed. The Bombay High Court will determine the validity of the transfer on February 15.

HC allows Wankhede to amend plea to include ground of probe against bribe giver
The Bombay High Court has allowed Sameer Wankhede, the former NCB Mumbai zonal director, to amend his petition in the bribery case involving the arrest of Aryan Khan. The court also extended his interim protection from arrest until June 20. Wankhede wants to include additional grounds for quashing the FIR, including the prosecution of the alleged bribe giver. The court permitted the amendment but stated that no further amendments would be allowed. The case will be heard again on July 20.

Former Mumbai zonal director of NCB, Sameer Wankhede, accused deputy director general Gyaneshwar Singh of making him a scapegoat in the Cordelia cruise drugs bust case and seeking vendetta against him. Wankhede submitted an additional affidavit to the Bombay high court in response to the NCB's affidavit filed on his petition to quash the CBI's FIR against him and four others. The CBI had booked them for allegedly conspiring to extort ?25 crore from Shah Rukh Khan in exchange for not booking his son in the Cordelia case.
