The counsels for Chandigarh administration told the high court bench of chief justice Sheel Nagu and justice Sumeet Goel that the wall was built by Nek Chand, the creator of Rock Garden; however, it is being relocated to accommodate the widened road and space for parking of more vehicles

Chandigarh’s tourism department has planned a “Swadesh Darshan” of Chandigarh’s tourist spots, including virtual tours of the Capitol Complex and an aerial safari of Rock Garden, starting in February next year

Chandigarh: 272 utilise shuttle bus service on first day

On such days, visitors’ private vehicles will be allowed to park in the paid parking in Sector 5 opposite Sukhna Lake and the pit parking of Rock Garden on first come, first served basis and as per availability of space

Chandigarh Municipal Corporation conducts city’s biggest vendors’ eviction drive amid tight security

The Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh on Friday started its biggest eviction drive of street vendors from their vending places to designated sites amid tight security. The drive started at 7am with MC teams relocating vendors mainly from the city’s business centre of Sector 17, which has now been declared a no-vending zone, and the first six sectors of Chandigarh, including tourist destinations of Sukhna Lake and Rock Garden.
