Mars' core, measured on seismic waves, found to be 'surprisingly' large and thin

Chinese Mars rover beams back first photos

Zhurong, named after a mythical Chinese fire god, arrived a few months behind the United States' latest probe to Mars -- Perseverance -- and has been celebrated in China as a milestone in its ascent to space superpower status.

NASA shares images of electric blue dunes on Mars

The set of images, clicked on the Red Planet at 80.3 degrees north latitude, 172.1 degrees east longitude, were released to mark the 20th anniversary of Odyssey, the longest-working Mars spacecraft in history.

Two types of dunes are seen in the image. One set is yellowish in colour and signifies warmer climates, and the other set is bluish or pale that represents colder climates.(NASA)

UAE to make history with launch of Mars probe

Now, you can send your name to fly aboard next Mars rover

Souvenir boarding passes will display names submitted by the people which will also be on microchips aboard the Mars 2020 rover, NASA said in a statement on late Tuesday.

Although it will be years before the first humans set foot on Mars, the US space agency has invited public to submit their names to fly abroad the next rover to Red Planet in 2020.
