Rakul Preet Singh was born in New Delhi. He is an alumna of Jesus and Mary college.She began her career in modelling at age 18 while she was still in college. She made her acting debut with Gilli in 2009 and Bollywood debut with the film Yaariyan in 2013. She has starred in numerous movies like Venkatadri Express, De De Pyaar De, Attack, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and Dhruva. She was appointed as the brand ambassador for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao programme by Telangana government.
