Rafale jet deal 2.9 per cent cheaper than UPA-era deal, says CAG report tabled in Parliament

The CAG report tabled in the Rajya sabha says compared to the 126 aircraft deal, India managed to save 17.08% money for the India Specific Enhancements in the Rafale contract. The overall price of fighter jets is 2.86 per cent cheaper as compared to the UPA-era deal, the report adds.

On Rafale, Congress accuses CAG of conflict of interest

Congress leader Kapil Sibal said Mehrishi should have recused himself from auditing the deal and if the CAG report on it is tabled in Parliament, it would amount to a scam.
