China's train to Tibet along Line of Actual Control, disputed Aksai Chin region

Designed to start in Shigatse, Tibet, the proposed rail line will run northwest along the Nepal border before piercing North via Aksai Chin and ending at China's Hotan in Xinjiang. The planned route will travel through Rutog and around Pangong Lake on the Chinese side of the LAC.

China has said that it has built a rail line in Sri Lanka under its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) project. It said it was the first rail line to be built in Sri Lanka since 1948.
