Rajasthan forms panel to probe death of 12 infants

Nine newborns, all of them between one and four days old, died at the hospital on Thursday, within a span of hours, a year after the same facility had hit national headlines over the deaths of at least 100 infants in a month.

Approval received to open medical colleges in Rajasthan’s 15 districts: Raghu Sharma

“The state government’s planning is that there should be a Medical College in each district. Thus, approval has been received to open Medical Colleges in 15 districts,” Sharma said on Friday, according to an official release.

Swine flu cases recorded in 2 months in Rajasthan highest since 2009

Although maximum swine flu positive cases and deaths in Rajasthan were reported in 2015, the cases reported in just 60 days of this year is alarming.

More parameters added to audit of swine flu deaths in Rajasthan

State health minister Raghu Sharma said that earlier, death audit was being conducted at the hospitals attached to medical colleges, but now all chief medical and health officers will audit the deaths in their district to find the reasons and detailed investigation will be carried out to find out the gaps.
