Election office will start SWOT analysis to improve performance

Delhi CEO Ranbir Singh on Friday said he circulated a note to all nodal officers, returning officers and other key officials seeking their suggestions on areas that need improvement as well as where they seem to have done well.

Congress, INLD allege misuse of government machinery in state

As per the district election office, a polling agent was arrested in Faridabad for interfering with the polling process at a booth. In Mewat also, the police registered seven FIRs against a presiding officer and other persons for violating the Representation of the People Act.

A polling agent was arrested on Sunday for allegedly trying to influence voters at the booth in Asaoti village in Palwal. Both the polling agent and presiding officer were presented before a magistrate and released on bail.

The presiding officer of the booth was also arrested for dereliction of duty. An FIR was filed in the matter, and a micro observer, too, barred from poll duty for three years.(HT Photo)
