MSRDC set to develop New Mahabaleshwar

The state urban development department issued a notification on Friday under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act, 1966, appointing MSRDC as a “special planning authority” to develop the hill station across 52 villages of Jaoli, Patan and Satara tehsils in Satara district.

Mahabaleshwar is currently the wettest location in the country this monsoon with over 8,000 mm rainfall in less than four months.(HT image)

After Aarey, MMRDA looks at Wadala for Metro-6 casting yard

Dilip Kawathkar, joint projects director, MMRDA, said, “We were considering Aarey earlier but now we are trying to get land at Wadala.” Kawathkar said MMRDA requires 28,813 square metres of land to set up a casting yard.

MMRDA plans signal-free BKC to unclog biz hub

The BKC, which is a major commercial complex in the city, is very congested. A 2017 study in the G-block of BKC indicates that close to 50,000 vehicles enter the block during peak hours in a day.
