SIT report on 1984 riots complete, handed to Supreme Court in sealed cover

Can’t stay East Kidwai Nagar project in entirety, says Delhi high court

The Delhi HC was hearing a petition filed in 2014 alleging that the plan for the East Kidwai Nagar project, meant to provide accommodations to government officials, was done without considering the environmental implications, road space, or rights of residents.

1984 Anti-Sikh riots: No issue if SIT works with 2 members, Centre tells SC

Additional solicitor-general Pinky Anand informed the Supreme Court that the three-member SIT, probing cases related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, had been reduced to two after retired IPS officer Rajdeep Singh declined to be a part of it citing personal reasons.
