Suggest a nickname for Aqua Line, Noida Metro’s new MD asks public

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is seeking suggestions from the public for a nickname for the Aqua Line between Noida and Greater Noida. The newly appointed managing director of NMRC, Dr. Lokesh M, also instructed staff to increase non-fare revenue and improve last-mile connectivity for commuters.

Noida Metro expands parking facilities at five more stations

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation has added parking services at five new stations on the Aqua Line between Noida and Greater Noida, as well as at Sector 51 in Noida, Sector 137 in Greater Noida, and Sector Delta 1 in Greater Noida. The NMRC plans to provide parking facilities at all 21 of its Metro stations as demand grows. Each parking station can accommodate at least 300 vehicles, and the NMRC collects user fees through automatic machines. The Aqua Line has 21 Metro stations and NMRC intends to connect it to the Delhi Metro?s Blue Line via a 300-metre-long air-conditioned footbridge.

With Blue line extension, Metro comes to Indirapuram doorstep

In a bid to improve connectivity, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) connected its Aqua Line with the DMRC’s Blue Line via a walkway and a carriageway dedicated to e-rickshaws. Walkway to connect Aqua and Blue lines by end of this month

The NMRC has started construction of the two-metre wide walkway for pedestrians and a five-metre wide pathway for e-rickshaws to ferry passengers between Aqua Line and Blue Line.

Noida playschool fined 5 lakh for advertisements on Metro pillars

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) said on Wednesday that it has filed an FIR against Makoons, a pre-school located in Sector 76, for allegedly putting up advertisement posters on Metro pillars, in violation of the Corporation’s rules.

The NMRC has also imposed a penalty of <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>5 lakh against the school as this is allegedly the second instance of violation on part of the school.(Sourced)
