Farooq skips ex-RAW chief Dulat’s book launch event

Former J&K chief minister and National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah skipped former Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) chief AS Dulat’s book launch in Delhi.Earlier in the day, Abdullah’s daughter Safiya Abdullah Khan had confirmed that her father won’t attend the launch ceremony of the book.

Chief minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday said that former RAW chief AS Dulat has a “habit of peddling lies to sell his books”. Dulat’s latest book where he has maintained that National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah had secretly supported abrogation of Article 370 has kicked up a political storm in Jammu and Kashmir with PDP chief and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti mincing no words to corner Abdullahs.

PDP, PC lash out at NC over ex-RAW chief’s claims on Art 370, NC dubs revelations in the book as ‘figment of author’s imagination’

Former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief AS Dulat’s revelations in his new book, The Chief Minister and the Spy, have triggered a political storm in Kashmir. In his book, Dulat wrote that in 2019, when Delhi revoked Kashmir’s autonomy under Article 370, Farooq Abdullah publicly condemned the move as a “betrayal” but privately, he backed this move.
