PAU student dies as truck hits her scooter near Jawaddi bridge

Kaur was heading towards her home near Industrial Training Institute on Gill Road after attending classes at PAU. The accident took place near Prakash Nagar close to Jawaddi bridge on the Southern Bypass. Police said that the truck driver was reportedly trying to overtake a combine harvester when the truck hit the girl’s scooter.

91 universities adopt 'extra-curricular' NCC as elective course

This has been done after a letter from the University Grants Commission to various universities. The UGC's communication was in line with the National Education Policy, which has proposed to remove the hard separation between extra-curricular, co-curricular and curricular activities in schools.
