The upgrade is expected to cost around ₹50-60 crore and will help ease congestion during peak hours. The FOBs will provide additional space for commercial use and the escalators will improve accessibility for passengers. The station currently serves 3-4 lakh railway passengers and 4.80 lakh metro commuters daily.
