State orders SIT probe into irregularities in desilting and widening of Mithi river
The state government will set up an SIT to probe alleged irregularities in the expenditure of ?1,160 crore on the Mithi river desilting project. The move is seen as an attempt to target Uddhav Thackeray and the Shiv Sena. An MLC from the BJP claimed that despite the large amount of money spent, the project remains incomplete. The Shiv Sena responded by sarcastically suggesting that the government should investigate and raid those involved in corruption. The industries minister announced the SIT inquiry and assured the relocation of affected residents.

Man kills 2-yr-old son to fulfill girlfriend’s condition to marry
