PMC, PMRDA to chalk out plan on Ganeshkhind Road widening

Officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) visited Ganeshkhind Road to address the issue of road widening causing a hurdle for the Pune Metro Line 3 project. The PMC has suggested building three stations after widening the road to 45 meters, while the PMRDA has expressed concerns about delays. Both parties will work together to draw up a plan to ensure the smooth progress of the metro work.

The civic body has insisted on building three stations- RBI station, Agriculture College and Shivajinagar stations entry and exit points after the widening of the stretch from the present 36 metres to 45 metres as per the city’s development plan (DP). (HT FILE)

Maha-Metro sets December deadline to complete work in Pune

During a review meeting in the first week of April, guardian minister Chandrakant Patil had given Maha-Metro a deadline to complete work by the end of April. However, metro work remains incomplete

Hit by Mumbai Metro work, residents of Mahim building to relocate

On Sunday night, Meher Manzil in Mahim developed wide cracks after which the MMRC installed rods to support the structure. A week earlier, the MMRC had to relocate residents of the adjacent building, Laxmi Niwas, after the 60-year-old structure tilted owing to Metro construction.

Ensure Metro work doesn’t damage power cables: MSEDCL to MMRDA

Supreme Court permits MMRCL to continue Metro work under Parsi temples in Mumbai’s Kalbadevi

Rejecting the demand of the four Parsi petitioners to stop construction work of the Mumbai underground metro on religious grounds, the Supreme Court said, “Two high priest of your community have said that construction will not impact on the fire temple... the MMRCL is maintaining distance from the wells...which could be contaminated.”
