Pune Police have imposed 13 conditions on Raj Thackeray's rally today which include no insulting speech for any community. The cops have also asked the MNS chief who started the Hanuman Chalisa-loudspeaker row to abide by the loudspeakers norms at the rally. 

Security has been beefed up at Pune's Ganesh Kala Krida Manch where Raj Thackeray will address a rally on Sunday.

While Gorakhpur and Sangam city in Uttar Pradesh have already started donating it to schools, Lucknow will begin distributing these loudspeakers from next week, district magistrate Abhishek Prakash said.

The Karnataka government circular, which comes into effect immediately, stated: “All existing users of loud speakers/ public address system and sound producing instruments shall obtain written permission from the Designated Authority within 15 days.”

53,942 loudspeakers removed, sound level of 60,295 lowered till now: UP Police

The Uttar Pradesh government issued the order to remove illegal loudspeakers from religious places in the state on April 24. According to the norms, loudspeakers playing at a shrine should not go outside the premises. The authorities have been empowered to remove the loudspeakers if the rule is violated.
