Pune railway division to construct subways by eliminating 119 level crossings

A total of 58 subways will be constructed. The construction cost per subway is ₹3 crore which will be shared between the state government and Indian railways

Next financial year, Railways to double track related work

As part of its efforts to improve passenger safety and punctuality, the Indian Railways is looking to double its efforts to carry out electrification and track related work for the next financial year.

All unmanned crossings to shut by 2020: Railway board chairman

There were 50 accidents on unmanned level crossings in 2014-15, 29 in 2015-16, 20 in 2016-17 and ten in 2017-18.
