8-month-old paralysed leopard cub back on her feet, released in the wild

She was then taken to Wildlife SOS’ Manikdoh Leopard Rescue Centre (MLRC) in Junnar for treatment. Last week, she was released back in her natural habitat by Igatpuri forest officials and the MLRC team.

Denying any animal-human conflict, the forest department claimed that both the cubs were killed by an adult leopard. An officer of the Katarniyaghat Wildlife Sanctuary said it might be possible that the cub reached near a dead and was killed by the adult leopard.

Leopard cub sneaks into Shimla, rescued by forest officials

The leopard cub was hiding under a parked car and police were informed who then called forests officials. The rescue team reached the spot and captured the cub using a net instead of a tranquiliser gun and took it to Tuti Kandi rescue and rehabilitation centre.
