Kotak Mahindra Bank Q3 profit jumps 31% to 2,792 crore

Kotak Mahindra bank's total income increased to ₹11,099 crore in the latest December quarter from ₹8,260 crore in the year-ago period, the bank said in a regulatory filing.

Sensex rallies over 500 points after RBI policy outcome; Nifty tops 11,200

Tata Steel was the top gainer in the 30-share Sensex pack, rising around 2 per cent, followed by HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, HCL Tech, Infosys, Kotak Bank, TCS and Reliance Industries.

The central bank opted for a status quo and left interest rates unchanged at the latest monetary policy meet.(PTI)

Sensex drops 242 points to settle at 31,443; Nifty declines 71 points to 9,199

After touching a low of 31,362.87, the 30-share index settled 242.37 points or 0.76 per cent lower at 31,443.38.

ONGC was the top loser in the Sensex pack, slumping over 4 per cent, followed by NTPC, Kotak Bank, Titan, Bharti Airtel and PowerGrid.

Sensex plunges 416 points; Kotak Bank tanks 5%

After hitting a record intra-day high of 42,273.87, the 30-share BSE Sensex gave up all gains to settle 416.46 points, or 0.99 per cent, lower at 41,528.91.

Sensex opens over 200 point higher; Nifty tops 11,600

After hitting a high of 39,306.37 points, the 30-share index pared some gains to trade 52.71 points, or 0.13 per cent, higher at 39,142.74 at 0945 hours, while the broader Nifty advanced 13.40 points, or 0.12 per cent, to 11,613.60.

Sensex reclaims 40,000 mark briefly ahead of Union Budget
