2 booked for raping 14-year-old girl, videotaping act in Payal

The victim has said in her police complaint that two men, Vinay Pal and Vicky, kidnapped her in a car and drove to an isolated spot where they raped her and videotaped the act.

MC building inspector, 26 others booked for thrashing branch manager of parcel company

A building inspector from municipal corporation’s Zone B office, an owner of a transport company and 25 other persons have been booked for thrashing the branch manager of a private parcel service company in Transport Nagar. The accused have been identified as building inspector Harjit Singh, New Vishal Transport company owner Gurcharan Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Naresh Kumar, and 25 unidentified persons.

Police have arrested two of the three undertrial inmates who escaped from the high-security Amritsar central prison on the night of February 1, officials said on Friday. Two more persons have been nabbed for sheltering and helping the duo in their house after the jailbreak, they said.

Trickster dupes Pammi Bai of 1 lakh for a song

Punjabi folk singer Pammi Bai was duped of ₹1.10 lakh by a man, who introduced himself as a public relation officer of MTV channel, on the pretext of recording his song and video at Coke Studio. Parmjeet Singh alias Pammi Bai told the police that he received an invitation for recording the song and video at Coke Studio through an email in February this year.

68-year-old man held from Delhi airport for using forged passport to get Hong Kong residency

He was caught during immigration clearance on Thursday while returning from Hong Kong, when an immigration officer realised that he looked much younger than the age shown in the passport. Police have arrested him for forgery.
