Vigilance committee to probe delay in construction of Sector 14 community centre

Haryana Agriculture Minister JP Dalal has ordered a probe into the delay in construction of a community centre in Sector 14 after residents complained that the complex remains incomplete despite the estimated budget being spent. In addition, he directed possession be given to owners of EWS flats that were allotted in 2013.

Minister holds district grievance committee meeting

Haryana agriculture minister JP Dalal has directed officials of the Gurugram Metropolitan development Authority to undertake maintenance work of Leisure Valley Park in Sector 19 within 15 days. He will personally visit the park to ensure beautification directions have been implemented.

Haryana’s wheat production to touch 90 lakh MT: JP Dalal

Addressing a press conference, the Haryana minister said that of the total wheat arrival in the mandis, about 14 lakh MT wheat has been procured by the government. He said 95,847 MT mustard has also been bought by government agencies so far.

Wheat production in Haryana is likely to touch the 90 lakh metric tonne (MT) mark and about 18 lakh MT wheat has already arrived in the grain markets of the state, agriculture and farmers’ welfare minister JP Dalal said here on Thursday. (HT File)

Coarse grains, a door to prosperity of small farmers, says JP Dalal

Haryana's agriculture minister JP Dalal said the state government is promoting millets as a nutritious food and a doorway to prosperity for small farmers. Millet is grown in an estimated 10-12 lakh acres in the state and the government is providing grants to farmers under the National Food Security Mission. The UN has declared 2023 as the International Year of Millet. The government is organising monthly programmes for awareness under this initiative.
