Chandigarh: PGIMER contractual workers protest delay in equal pay for equal work

A PGIMER official, who did not wish to be quoted amid the model code of conduct, said, “The permissions for similar wages are pending due to the imposition of the model code of conduct. We had a meeting with the workers’ delegation and apprised them of the situation.”

Chandigarh: No headway in talks between PGIMER, contractual workers

Even in a meeting held between the PGIMER administration and the workers’ Joint Action Committee in Chandigarh on Thursday, the latter learnt that the administration had failed to get the Union health ministry’s approval for more funds to pay them similar wages

Telangana government tells court RTC has no funds to pay September salaries

Arguing on behalf of the RTC management, advocate general B S Prasad told the high court that the RTC had only ₹7.5 crore in its exchequer, while the salary bill of the employees was around ₹224 crore.

KCR govt dismisses 48,000 state transport employees
