Thieves pose as Bihar govt officers, steal 60-foot iron bridge with locals' help

Police said the thieves took help of the local government personnel on the pretext of being officers of the irrigation department, and did the crime in broad daylight.

Government eyes reduction in farm water use

The water ministry, a part of the CoS on agriculture and rural development, has pitched for less water for crops as a high priority issue. It has suggested production of alternative crops, a better irrigation system and financial incentives to farmers for optimal water usage.
