State sees surge in computer engineering admission; traditional courses see high vacancies this year

Admissions for undergraduate courses in Maharashtra have seen a surge in demand for computer engineering and new-age courses like AI and data science, while traditional streams like civil and mechanical engineering have seen more than 50% vacancies. The state has witnessed the highest number of engineering admissions in seven years, with 1,17,858 aspirants enrolling in various branches. The increase in engineering admissions is attributed to the promotion of new-age courses by the All India Council of Technical Education.

1,499 new colleges to start in Maharashtra

LNMU declares the results of CET-BEd-23, 1.43 lakh aspirants clear the test
