After lean start to year, tourist footfall sees rise in Himachal

After a lean start to the year, the tourist footfall in Himachal has started to rise and the hotel occupancy has started to climb with the rise in temperatures in plains.The average hotel occupancy has seen a considerable increase in recent days and is much higher than the occupancy in March.

MeT sounds yellow alert for rain in Himachal

According to the MeT department, light rain or snowfall is also likely at isolated places in the districts of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and over the higher reaches of Chamba, Kangra and Kullu districts on Sunday

The MeT officials said the minimum temperatures are likely to rise gradually by 2-3 degrees during the next 2-3 days. (Representative)
