Delhi man gets challan for speeding, over 20 days after car was stolen

A resident of the national capital has received a traffic challan for speeding more than 20 days after his car was stolen from near Vivek Vihar Police Station in east Delhi.

Delhi bus depots opened for pollution checks as applications triple

Under the new law, driving without a PUC (pollution under control) certificate or with an expired certificate invites a penalty of ₹10,000. Earlier, the fine amount was ₹1,000.

The minister said the transport department has also increased the server capacity because of which it can now accept around 6,000 applications online in an hour instead of 3,200 applications that were being taken until 1pm on Wednesday.(HT image)

Hari Nagar mishap: 22-yr-old succumbs, death toll 2

The mishap had occurred near the Khalsa School o in Hari Nagar. Harpreet Kaur, one of the injured victims, told the police in her statement that she was walking along the road after visiting a Gurudwara when the “speeding” Honda City rammed some vehicles before knocking her down.
