9 firms bid for contract to upgrade Southern Peripheral Road

The authority also said that the process to hire a consultant for the elevated SPR is at an advanced stage, and five companies have bid for the work worth ₹50 lakh. The authority plans to construct an elevated road on this stretch at an estimated cost of ₹750 crore

Encroachments on Dwarka e-way to be removed: GMDA

A senior GMDA official said that construction was put on hold due to imposition of GRAP measures in the city, and it will be resumed soon. To expedite construction, they are working on getting the encroachments on the carriageway of service roads removed so that work can be done smoothly, he said

GMDA demolishes 10 illegal permanent structures on Southern Peripheral Road

A GMDA spokesperson said that the Haryana government had awarded alternative plots to owners whose land was falling along the alignment and Right of Way of SPR when the demarcation of SPR was carried out. Despite being given possession, the owners continued occupying the land for the last two years and permanent constructions on the main road along SPR were not demolished

Eight new FOBs to come up in heavy traffic areas

Residents across 20 locations had demanded foot over bridges in their areas, following which the authority conducted a survey, and identified eight locations which require the FOBs on priority. Now, the civic body plans to hire a consultant for preparing a detailed project report for the eight locations. The consultant will provide detailed information about presence of utilities, availability of land, and related issues.

GMDA proposal to build bus depot in Sector 65 stuck over land transfer

The authority has now asked the HSVP to provide land at any other alternative location nearby so that the bus depot can be constructed. GMDA officials said that they plan to build nine such depots across Gurugram to expand the city’s bus service. The authority plans to have 1,025 buses by 2031
