One person died after an oil-container truck hit a divider, overturned, and caught fire on Ghodbunder Road in Thane. The fire was extinguished and the road cleared after three hours. The police have registered a case of rash driving.

3 students injured as truck rams into bus; driver held

Prakash Pal, the truck driver, was arrested by Chitalsar police. The accident led to a traffic jam on Ghodbunder Road for around 45 minutes during peak hours before normalcy was restored.

Mumbai NGO holds silent rally; demands action after boy’s pothole death

Five-year-old Vedant Das was killed on August 15 after his father’s two-wheeler skidded over a crater between a concrete and asphalt road on Ghodbunder Road. Vedant, who was riding pillion, fell on the road and a tempo coming from behind ran over him.
