Father of soldier who died in Galwan clash, thrashed, arrested in land dispute

The incident happened in the soldier's native place Vaishali in Bihar where his father was reportedly thrashed and later arrested by the police for building a memorial for his son, the family members claimed.

Two years after Galwan, de-escalation still to take place on Ladakh LAC

While no less than 15 rounds of meetings between Indian and Chinese senior military commanders have taken place to restore April 2020 status quo ante on the unresolved border, the PLA is still forwardly located in the KongKa La area or what is defined as patrolling point 15 on the military map.

Nearly three divisions of combat troops with support elements each have been deployed by Indian and Chinese Army in East Ladakh for the past two years with reserves in the hinterland.

'Misinformation': Army on reports of collapse of border talks with China

The Indian Army has rebutted claims made in an article about clashes taking place in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh. It said that ever since the disengagement agreement in February this year, there has been no attempt by either side to occupy the areas from where the disengagement had been undertaken.

Chinese blogger detained over posts on casualties in Galwan clash

The Nanjing Bureau of Public Security said on Saturday that Qiu Ziming, 38, was charged with "picking quarrels and provoking trouble", a vague crime that carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

Qiu, a former reporter with the weekly Economic Observer, had 2.5 million followers on China's Twitter-like platform Weibo when he published two posts on Friday that suggested a commander survived the clashes because he was the highest-ranking officer there.(Yahoo)
