Two veteran Sena leaders in Shinde camp in public spat over Mumbai North West Lok Sabha seat

A public spat between two senior leaders of the Shiv Sena party in Mumbai over the party's candidature for the Mumbai North West constituency. Gajanan Kirtikar, the sitting MP, is accused of helping his son get elected on a different ticket. The party leader has stated that he will field his son as the candidate. The two leaders have also exchanged allegations of betrayal and possible collusion with other parties.

Gajanan Kirtikar wins big; seat-change plan fails for Sanjay Nirupam in Mumbai North West

Shiv Sena sitting MP Gajanan Kirtikar won by 2,60,328 votes. Kirtikar had secured 5,70,063 (60.55%) votes against Nirupam’s 3,09,735 (32.9%) votes.
