PMC slaps notice to IAS officer Puja’s mother for footpath encroachment

The unauthorised construction on the footpath is about 60 feet long, three feet wide, and two feet high. It is blocking the movement of people on the road and footpath, as per the notice issued under Section 226 (1) A of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act

DDA finalises plans to spruce up Dwarka in Delhi

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) plans to beautify and revamp Dwarka, a sub-city in southwest Delhi, including the installation of fountains and statues, as well as revamping footpaths along an 8-km stretch. Tenders for the project will be floated within the next 15 days, with the aim of awarding contracts by the end of December. The project is in response to the lack of adequate streetlights and walkable footpaths in the area, which have been a longstanding concern for residents.

1-year-old girl abducted from CSMT, found near Churchgate station

An unknown person allegedly abducted a one-year-old girl from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and abandoned her near the Churchgate station in Mumbai. The CSMT Government Railway Police (GRP) has launched a manhunt for the person. The child was found abandoned on a footpath and reunited with her mother.
