Will discuss Mohali-Rajpura link with railway minister, says Bittu

According to Bittu, a detailed project report will be prepared at the earliest for the Mohali-Rajpura broad-gauge rail link that will make short the trip by 55 km as compared to the present route of Rajpura-Ambala.

Punjab: 12 IAS officers transferred, Sarvjit Singh is ACS, sports

The Punjab government has transferred 12 IAS officers, one IFS officer, and one PCS officer. Ajoy Sharma, a 1999-batch IAS officer, and Alaknanda Dayal, a 2000-batch IAS officer, are still awaiting posting. The transfers include the appointment of Sarvjit Singh as ACS for sports and youth services, and Raji P Srivastava as ACS for social security, women and child development.

The government has, however, not given any posting to 1999-batch IAS officer Ajoy Sharma.

IFFCO cuts complex fertilisers rate by 50 per bag; DAP to cost 1,250/bag now

The price of DAP (di-ammonium phosphate) has been reduced to ₹1,250 per bag (of 50 kg) from ₹1,300 earlier. Similarly, the rate of NPK 1 has come down to ₹1,200 from ₹1,250 per bag, while NPK 2 rate will now be ₹1,210 from ₹1,260 per bag.
